So, per popular demand I am updating this blog. There have been a lot of things that I've wanted to put up here lately but unfortunately I just haven't had time and now I can't remember any of it. So technically, I'm "winging" this one. Yes, I know, it seems like all of my posts are "winged" but really, in my own way, I put a lot of planning into it. I don't really spend a lot of time planning them, but theres always something that sparks my interest in blogging at that spark usually takes me on an interesting journey. Today, there is no such spark, but I haven't posted in a while and Lauren needs a good reason to put off studying for her exams, so here we are.
So, I'm on a diet. I know, I know, "but Wolfgang, you already have a wonderful physique, why would you need to go on a diet?" hehe *blush* thanks guys, but the truth of the matter is that I could stand to lose a few pounds. Fact of the matter is that I've gained a lot of weight since December and I know exactly why. Let me explain. Sidenote: I'm getting pretty gangster at typing using this DVORAK layout. So, last summer Pat was in Peru so I had to ride my bike everpwhere because she wasn't here to give me a ride. That meant 3 miles to class, 3 more miles to work, then 6 miles back home. Not to mention that I was going to the gym, where I lifted weights and ran. AND, on top of all that, I was eating pretty healthy: cereal for breakfast, a sandwhich baby carrots and a yogurt for lunch, and brown rice eggs and chicken for dinner. That was pretty much it. I didn't eat out because Pat wasn't here and I didn't cook anything more exotic because I didn't have Pat to share it with. After summer, I kept up the bike riding and didn't change my eating habits much. All that combined led to me losing a lot of weight and ending up at about 175 lbs at the end of December. That was an all time low for me! And then Pat bought me a car for christmas...
So, after christmas I no longer needed to ride my bike everywhere. Nice! And, I figured since before I lost all that weight I hadn't been gaining any, I could just resume my previous eating habits. Not a good idea. I weighed myself a few weeks ago and found that I now weigh 193 lbs. Damn! So here we are, at diet central. I don't diet like most people. Mainly, I'm just trying not to indulge as much as I have been. I don't eat as much per meal, and I try to choose my meals healthier. I'm not real strict though. I had Goodberry's the other day with Pat and I ate some chocolate bars too. I think I've lost some weight though.
The funny thing is, that although I was glad that I had lost so much weight, I wasn't really happy with the fact that I was such a lightweight. I'm trying to keep my posts short so I'm gonna call it a day. I know this post kinda sucked, but I hope it gives you guys some enjoyment!

I am not looking forward to cutting back on my food intake when I get home and no longer walk several hours a day. Thanks for the distraction!
